Am i being a wuss if i send my EX flowers for her grad school graduation after we just broke up?

The Facts:

1.) We broke up a few weeks ago

2.) We were in a long term relationship (7 + years)



Why she says she broke up

3.) She sees me as a friend

4.) The emotional toll and stress has gotten to her



Why did it fail?

5.) i got some emotional issues that I've had a lot of struggle with..

6.) I handled it pretty immaturely (i.e. i became an a**hole, and had a big ego)

7.) My ego made me feel good all the while i hurt her...she lost respect for me.

8.) I gave her reason to not trust me (acted shady)

After the breakup

10.) I acted like a wuss at first (clingly and needy)

11.) I begged and pleaded to no avail

12.) I annoyed her and pissed her off (broke the no contact rule)

12.) Then realized that i was being more of a jerk now than ever before

13.) So i'm trying to get my sh*t together. I have left her alone. No more contact. until it feels right. I have to respect her choice



Bad Timing

She's about to graduate...should i send her flowers? I am so impossibly proud of her

YES! Send flowers...and then move on. If she said that you are more of a friend to her, then send flowers and a card that says Congrats--I'm proud of you. After all you can't just forget someone existed after 7 years.
Reply:I think that would be really nice. My ex whom I was trying to work things out with, came to my graduation.... no flowers... but he did bring my worst enemy and ran up to his seat with her laughing and giggling. Then he slept with her a year later. Do something nice and dont be like him. Send the flowers.

who cares? flowers never hurt anybody
