Too early to send a new girlfriend flowers?

I have been going out with this girl for about one and a half months. It’s along distance relationship, she in college. The other night I decided to send her roses for no real reason other than I missed her. Now my friend put doubt in my head now saying that it’s tacky. You see they ship today and it’s too late to cancel them, but I was wondering what some other ladies thoughts where.

It's never too early or too late to send a girl flowers. I'm sure she loved the flowers and was the envy of all who saw them. Your friend who stated your action was "tacky" doesn't know what the HELL he's talking about! Don't let anyone steal your thunder or rain on your parade! Next time he gives you some lip say, "WHO ASKED YOU?" or , "dude--you do NOT know what you are talking about!"
Reply:Never listen to that "friend" again... he's dead wrong.... flowers are ALWAYS in good taste... you have to remember, women think differently than men... she'll be so happy... and just the fact that her girlfriends will SEE and be envious of your blatant act of caring scores you BIG points!! One of the first signs of falling in love is gift-giving... there's just nothing you won't buy or want to give to that special one. Way to go!
