she likes me but she'd made it clear to me that she won't date me because she still have feelings for her ex and she doesn't see the future for us.

Yes. I am in a very similer situation (he can't be with me because of obligations). He sends me flowers still. Don't get all mushy and lovey on the card. Just wish her a Happy Valentines day. This will let her know you are thinking of her.

Reply:I say you should send flowers for her on Valentine's Day only because you mention that she likes you, but she still has some feeling toward her ex. It sound to me, she is a wonderful girl who tell you the truth. Maybe when she loses feeling for her ex then she can date you. Usually girls who still like their ex will try to get them back no matter what. So, dont put your hope up to high for her to see you in her future. I think if you give her the flowers. Maybe her feeling toward her ex will soon fade. Because why would a girl waste her time likeing an ex when someone else is being way sweet on valentine day.

If I were you, I won't get my hopes up and you should appreciate that she's been honest with you.
Reply:I would NOT send flowers, thats in my opinion a romantic gesture even if they are white or yellow. If you are on a friendship level and will see her on valentines you can give her something little and cute (stuffed bear with candy hearts) or offer to buy her lunch or a coffee. You wouldnt want to make her feel uncomfortable if she has already told you she cant date you.
Reply:Definitely not! Either she is just trying to get rid of you, in a nice way, or, she has thought long and hard and decided to be completely honest with you about the way she feels. Sending flowers will cost you money and may leave you expecting something in return. (Like for her to change her mind.) Would you really want to be in a relationship with someone that still has feelings for another person? I say move on!
