Is it weird for a woman to send a man flowers?

For the second time in a few months my beloved sent me a bouquet of flowers. I was surprised and appreciate it. A few friends and co-workers keep telling me that it's weird for a woman to send a man flowers. They say it's like she thinks your feminine. Do you think it's strange?

Reply:Not at all! If you appreciated them and you like them then that is probably why she sends them. It's more one of those it's the thought that counts. Plus, men like nice smelling things too!

I know some women who send their significant other's flowers. But I don't do it because I know it's not something my husband would appreciate. He'd rather have a dvd of his favorite movie or a cd of his favorite band.

Reply:Not at all, I do that all the time with my husband. I used to bring him fresh flowers once a week while we were dating. He had such a dark bachelor pad that I thought fresh flowers would lighten the place up a bit. He is very romantic and a passionate man and I knew he'd appreciate them as he did and still does. She wants you to give you something that will make you think of her and thats unavoidable. A bouquet of flowers is just the ticket. And she probably loves flowers herself. Don't listen to everyone else they're probably jealous. I would have thought of that as being feminine, if she thought you were feminine I'm sure she wouldn't be with you.
Reply:I think its strange that your friends and co-workers are remarking at all. Maybe they are just teasing you. I,m sure that usually it's the male that sends flowers to the girl. Then all the co-workers are asking, "What does he feel guilty about?" or "Well we know what they did!" It's all ridiculous. I would so rather have flowers sent to my home, so that everyone wasn't speculating and commenting. That's just me. Sounds as though you might also prefer to separate your love life from the work place.
Reply:The first time ok, but after the second I'd be feeling a bit weird about that one! Twice in a few months, that's a bit overboard with the whole flower thing. I don't think she thinks of you as feminine, I think she thinks of herself as masculine.
Reply:no of course not...she just wanted to surprize you! my guy always sends me flowers and i when i want to surprize him i go online and all you can get delivered to a guy is flowers!! and all online flower shops have a guy section so i guess its pretty normal..i sent my man a balloon bouquet once for fun and he loved it...balloons are pretty girly but they made him smile :o)



just be thankful that you have a sweet woman in your life who is not afraid to express how much you mean to her!

Reply:Yes, I do thing its weird. If you enjoy them, good for you. My bf was very clear to me: never, ever, ever send him flowers ever. He says its embarrassing. The first people that flock to the flowers are women. So you end up with a crowd of women saying “omg they are so beautiful. You are so lucky. My husband never sends me flowers.” I can’t imagine women saying that to men. Yes it makes the guy look feminine, unless he’s in the hospital.
