But, most guys don't enjoy flowers, or think they are thoughtful.

What I tend to do instead on special occasions is send my husband a gift basket of gourmet chocolates. He usually loves that although he has it eaten within a couple of days!
You can save TONS and get a bigger basket by making it yourself and having a friend deliver it. The nice baskets through ftd are usually close to $100- which would buy five of the same thing if you took that money to WalMart.

Reply:No, he would pretend to like them, but we aren't women. Statistcally women enjoy getting things that have no real value as a sign that he was thinking only of you. In contrast men are a little more logical, the best gifts are one he can use. Men buy women flowers because we know they like them, not because we know why they like them. (same with greeting cards, jewlery, etc...)

In my opinion, the 2 things I dislike most from my gf, is flowers and food (eg. chocolate candy, etc.), something that'll last and I can keep with me all da time is best! Like a dogtag with the 2 names engraved on it or sumthing.

It was full of canteloupe apples pineapple bananas etc. all on sticks, half af them dipped in chocolate AND IT HAD ATON OF STRAWBERRIES dipped in a variety of different chocolates. It was a hit. He was a hit, in fact he had every pretty girl in the office "hitting on him" just kidding, but he was very populaur for the day as everyone wanted to admire it and ofcourse taste it. He ate it up ( the fruit and the attention) the he retreated to a semi=private place and used his cell to call the gift giver and thank her. She was stunningly good looking and she had the most tasteful but still incredibly sensual professional image of herself done. It looked like an art print more than a photo. it was totally suitable to put on his desk. it arrived in black wrapping paper with a single red ribbon around it. and was hand delivered because most offices it goes through the mail room and they open it and log it in first.
so here arrives the package, a few friends gather with questions and he opens it

definetly monday....i agree with the other girls...monday is a bad day for everyone..and the dude that said dont do it or whatever...dont listen to him...im sure he dont even have a woman by the sounds of it...were not all gold diggers...and its a very nice thing that your trying to find a way to brighten her day...your a very nice guy....your woman should apreciate having you....deliver the flowers to her yourself (if possible) its very romantic to think of makeing her day better..

it's best not to send flowers, she'll always take it the wrong way. She'll either think you're weak or she will expect them all the time, or more dangerously she'll suspect you have something to feel guilty about. if you really want to impress her, win the lottery

We have been best friends for the past 10 years.. admitidly I started developing feelings for her.. but I have always sent her something big (flowers/candy/teddy bear) for V-day. This year though I'm starting to wonder if it is wrong that I am doing it beings she has a boyfriend. What's your opinion?

Sure, go ahead and send those things. If i were her, I'd get disappointed if my close friend didn't at least wish me a happy Valentine's Day. I think that as long as you're not telling her that you love her more than anything in the world, there should be no problems with the boyfriend. Besides, it's just a boyfriend, not a husband.
